Big 12 Tournament

Tournament starts tomorrow. OSU has Utah, which won't be easy. They took the last two from Arizona and they have a pitcher who has been tough.

In the meantime, the USA today released its All Big 12 Team:

Asterisks means unaminous

Catcher: Sydney Stewart, Arizona-*

First base: Jackie Lis, Texas Tech-*

Second base: Mia Williams, Texas Tech-*

Third base: Rosie Davis, Oklahoma State-*

Shortstop: Reagan Bartholomew, Iowa State

Outfield: Mihyia Davis, Texas Tech-*

Outfield: Kaylee Pond, Arizona State

Outfield: Reagan Shockey, Arizona-*

Utility: Kaitlyn Terry, Texas Tech-*

Pitcher: Kenzie Brown, Arizona State-*

Pitcher: NiJaree Canady, Texas Tech-*

Pitcher: Ruby Meylan, Oklahoma State-*

Coach of the Year: Jennifer McFalls, Kansas-*

Player of the Year: Kaitlyn Terry, Texas Tech-*

Pitcher of the Year: NiJaree Canady, Texas Tech-*

Freshman of the Year: Ella Boyer, Kansas-*

Newcomer of the Year: Mia Williams, Texas Tech-*

I think this shows that we have a bunch of solid softball players, but no real superstars except Ruby and Rosie. Credit to KG and the staff for getting them to 2nd in the league with only 1 position player among the top. But it also shows he needs to keep upgrading. I thought Timm could have been on there, but her last few weeks weren't quite at the level as the rest of the season. The all league team is basically just Texas Tech's roster.

Sounds about right..we have some young talent like a jones and Austin that can get there. Hoffman can be as well!! Tech can literally buy their players so unless we miraculously match them, i expect them to dominate league honors annually.

B2
Hoffman strikes out swinging
Schneidmiller strikes out looking, yikes ump
Jones reaches on errant throw by SS
Austin doubles into LCF gap, Jones to 3rd
Timm HBP on full count
Godwin strikes out swinging

OSU has left five, every batter should be sitting on the change up

4Ks against a pitch to contact pitcher isn't going to work
