I consider 10 minutes as a threshold. To play 25% of the game on average means that player is getting time to perform and not just the end of the game or when a key player is in foul trouble. Eddie Sutton typically only had 7-8 players average more than 10 minutes. Boynton and Lutz typically...

    Head Coach Steve Lutz

His history of how he manages his player minutes was why he was 4th or so on my list. Boynton burnt me out on the YMCA everyone gets to play half the game strategy. I think on-court chemistry and knowing how to play with each other is more important especially in critical game situations and...

He has never had a player average more than 30 minutes in his 4 seasons as a head coach. It isn't talent, that is just who he is.

OSU Vs UNT - NIT Quarterfinals Tues 8pm

I think this may be the new norm with the exception of Gonzaga and a couple of the Big East teams. And when a team from a mid-major breaks into the Sweet Sixteen. That coach and their star players will not be back the next year to give it another go. No more Butler, VCU, and Wichita States that...

I still don't like Lutz' minute distribution. Only one person averaged more than 25 minutes (26.7 Bryce Thompson). Eddie always gave his best 3-4 players 30+ minutes (75%). That is part of the reason they peaked at the end of the season. The only time Eddie didn't do that was when he had...

Actually, the last guy was Dee Anderson (2020) and that was a complete head scratcher as to why Gundy took him. 4 games and no stats at OSU. I was on my soapbox big time against having him come in. It was waste of a scholarship when looking at the depth returning that year. Just wanting to...

Not a fan of playing 9-10 players but he is a better coach than what we had.

Yes on all those except McFarlin. He came straight out of high school. You can add Brett Robisch, Scott Pierce, and Mario Boggan. I'm sure there are a lot more. He also was great with the Jucos (Rutherford, Burley, Tony Allen, Hatcher, Montonati, Andre Owens...)

    OSU @ BYU

Couldn't stand Diff-EQ. Had a Chinese TA that no one could understand and he would dart out the door at the end of class. About midway through the semester people would surround him so he couldn't leave. :ROFLMAO: I had to teach myself in that class.

His posts in early November had him expecting to make it to January. Here is the January post when he was getting ready to go into hospice.

I had the same section in 2023 (Row 10 in the sun) and 2024 (row 20 in the shade). Both seasons the seats were almost to the aisle with section 206 (around the 35 yard line) In 2023 $425 donation and $200 per ticket and probably some fee on top. Roughly $1250 for 2 tickets. In 2024 $500...

Should be interesting. 7 games instead of 6, so OSU is going to want more money. No big name non-con home game. Conference is Baylor, Houston, Cin, Iowa State, and Kansas State. So K-State and maybe Iowa State are really the only big home games. I know about 2 seats opening up in 205. 35...

The only way he changes is if he is challenged that this is the legacy he leaves. I can't believe he double downed today with more crap.
