    Conference Realignment - What's next?

FSU, Clem, and ND are all for sure. UNC seems pretty universally thought in there too, but I've seen others say they don't really have the metrics outside of that. Miami should be up there too. My best guess is that UNC goes to the SEC with FSU and Clem. The fourth either being UVA, NCST, or...

    Conference Realignment - What's next?

This is a way out there thought, but what if the best of the ACC broke away and then grabbed the best of the Big 12 to form a 16 ish team conference to challenge the B1G and SEC. that is legitimately something that could happen in 2030 or so. OSU would absolutely be a part of that. Crazy, but...

    Conference Realignment - What's next?

Partially true. Adding teams after a media deal is done does add new content that they then have to sell. That is how the B1G did it when they added Oregon and Washington. Adding them in at reduced shares mitigated it, but I don't think anyone in the B1G made less then. The B1G would have to do...

    Conference Realignment - What's next?

For anything immediate you might very well be right. Anyone moving now completely depends on if the B1G or SEC will act. They might simply because their are schools like UNC they both want. However, I'm confident saying EVERYONE will act by 2030 at the latest. That is our maximum time frame...

    Conference Realignment - What's next?

I don't know who all has been following this, but it is time to revive this thread. Yesterday dropped (and becoming official today) probably the most significant realignment event since the PAC break up. The ACC, FSU, and Clemson are settling, and initial reports suggest that FSU and Clemson...

    Gundy Not in Trouble….restructuring

Honestly, I'm super curious of the details of the new contract. I wonder when we will finally get to hear about it.

    Gundy Not in Trouble….restructuring

I don't think it was "blinking". The reports all said Gundy asked for more time for the BoR.

    Gundy Not in Trouble….restructuring

It is not official yet, but there is a court settlement that sets it up to pay athletes.

    Gundy Not in Trouble….restructuring

This is a pretty intense situation. I'm not sure I can see this continuing with all the bad blood. It feels like this may be more of a song and dance to negotiate the buyout. Even if that is not what is intended by the administration that may ultimately be what it turns into.

    Gundy Not in Trouble….restructuring

There is only so much a public university can do privately. There are laws and procedures to follow.

    Gundy Not in Trouble….restructuring

My guess is they have at least some grounds for firing with cause that is part of their leave to get this restricted deal. If they acted on it though there would doubtless be a lawsuit. In reality it would probably mean a negotiated settlement for his exit.

Dunn and Nardo gone, per reports

If firing Gundy is a serious consideration I can't imagine that they would be pursuing OC/DC candidates right now.

    Changes Need to be Made

Probably incorrect, but I had a thought this morning. Maybe the hold up is because of negotiations. Maybe Gundy is negotiating an exit that allows him to resign/retire but still get some of his buyout. Just a thought.

Official Game Thread: [Homecoming] Arizona State vs. Oklahoma State

Lightning delay as expected. The announcers just said "there has been talk of this being an official game, but we don't know". What the heck does that mean? Could they call this official and say ASU won? Is that actually a possibility?
