Anyone hoping for a dramatic change at the top of the political hierarchy in the State of Oklahoma, needs to start contacting Dan Boren and encouraging him to run for governor. He is probably the only Democrat with any chance of being the next Governor of this state.

None of these made it out of committee. Did not expect them to get out of committee. As I posted on other occasions, people on this board need to quit getting their shorts in a wad every time Dusty Deevers writes up a bill. He is too far right wing even for Oklahoma politics.

This is what I thought, but one of my lobbyist friends said that Stitt would probably need a PhD or a JD to be considered for the job and he has neither. Doesn’t mean he can’t help one of his friends get the job. Most, if not all, college presidents in Oklahoma have a PhD or JD.

Meh. Least controversial thing that Deevers has proposed. Most of his bills don’t even make it to committee. What’s the problem with paying state employees in Bitcoin if that is what they want? Russell Okung got half his NFL salary in Bitcoin, which has appreciated nicely.

That bill was from January 2024 and never made it to committee. Nice try though.

OU has reportedly offered $3 million a year to Knowles. Penn State is offering $3.2 million. Before anyone tells me OU can’t afford that kind of money, I am just reporting what I heard. Also, like we had a donor buy us David Taylor, OU has donors who can buy Jim Knowles.
