A few Cowboy RTC wrestlers competed today. Hendrickson lost his first match and is out. Zahid beat a former world champion and is in the finals. Forest wrestled well and still has a chance at the bronze. It is great to see OSU having a presence and some success on the big stage. Recruits notice.

I understand the difficult decision. The money in football is a big incentive. (You might check out Ben Keuter at Iowa. He has been doing both in some capacity.) He wouldn't have to cut weight since he will be heavy weight. I haven't heard his plan. I'm sure he'll consult family etc. and do what...

No news on Bassett at this time, but his high school teammate and future cowboy, Jax Forrest, made the senior world team today by beating a former world champion.

I think he planned to be at the farm for a while. I'm not sure he is a big need for us weight wise. His brother or adopted brother would be a very nice addition. It is a win for OSU if he doesn't go to Penn State.

Last year when it was my turn to improve season tickets, there was nothing better available.

The RTC emphasis continues to make a difference. OSU as a brand in wrestling has always been good but there has been a boost this spring. Hamiti/Hendrickson win NCAAs, Hendrickson is all over the media, Jax Forrest picks OSU, Success at US Open, Success at Pan and, Raney brothers pick OSU -...

Anyone else notice a large price increase? I understand they were very inexpensive, but wanting to buy season tickets, national duals tickets, and big 12 tickets starts to add up.

It sounded like he made a quick decision after not making the Olympics. Someone who knows more than me could respond. Do we really need another coach? Caldwell and Zo are doing a lot (pan am this weekend) and Roper was brought in.

Good for Reece. The previous posts highlight what I said about Taylor getting the RTC. OSU wrestling is getting a lot of national attention right now for freestyle season. I know this is not very popular to the average fan, but the high level recruits absolutely want a place that can help them...

It is great to see the cowboy wrestling club representation at these events. The momentum keeps going for OSU wrestling.

I don't know enough to know how good lockett is right now, but I agree with you that 157 does not have as much of a favorite. Lockett already beat Shapiro (157) in freestyle. (Shapiro got 3rd two years ago as a true freshman.)

Does this change the predicted lineup, or do you think this is Taylor stacking talent and getting them to buy into making each other better and the best one will get the spot?

The biggest difference is the emphasis on an rtc. Taylor seems determined to make this the best place for wrestlers to train. Bringing in senior level partners to work with is a big part of developing others. This is also huge for recruiting.

With the transfer portal, there has been a lot more excitement in the offseason like free agency in the pros. This allows teams to fill holes. I am going to make my way to early predictions for next year compared to this year. On first glance, it looks like there is no way we will be better...
