How can you ever keep 15 players happy in the NIL era. There are only so many minutes to go around and if you don't play you can't increase your stock to warrant a bigger paycheck. Maybe some scholarships will start going to players who used to be walk ons.

They might end up adding a fall portal window. Sounds like we are going to be over the limit once the freshman recruits show up. We will be forced to cut some players and I doubt we are the only program in that situation.

That was a dagger. I knew there was almost no hope of making the NIT but that little hope is gone. One this is certain, we will see history this year....either a low seed will win the Big 12 tourney or Lutz will lose his first ever conference tournament game. Not taking any bets on that one.

Well Beamer is right, it is just different in the SEC. When you get to replace one of your conference games with an FCS opponent in November it makes your season much much easier. But he's wrong for thinking that taking the easy path as a conference should get you more automatic bids. Man...

The reason I don't gamble is because i am so often wrong but I don't see the Texas game vs the other OSU even being competitive.

Unfortunately next season this will all be forgotten and the SEC will once again have 6 teams in the preseason top 15 while the big 12 will be lucky to have 1 or 2.

It would not surprise me to see our games with Bama cancelled or moved to Dallas and Atlanta. It will depend on how we look as we get closer to those dates. If we are still bottom of the Big 12, then Bama will happily come to Stillwater. If we've recovered at all and have some momentum again...

I think we need to realize we just came off a 3-9 season and replaced the entire coaching staff. Now if you want to say our recruiting has been lackluster in previous years then I agree with you, but this off season recruiting is going better than I thought it would.
