It always strikes me as curious that absolutely dismal coaching performances isn’t a “cause” for being fired.

Is that due to traditional contract language? So if OSU hires Franklin first 5 years, $10m/year Franklin essentially gets nothing from Penn? If yes, I assume OSU would get out from Gundy’s buyout if someone hires him for next season?

Just for fun and sake of argument, how much of Franklin’s buyout would OSU have to pay if they hired him?
